 In 1980, Mr. Alphonse J. Dell'Isola, PE, RICS, FCVS received a Presidential Citation from the Society of Japanese Value Engineers.

The Society of Japanese Value Engineering (SJVE) is a non-profit membership organization that provides and exchanges professional information about Value Engineering (VE), Japan and overseas , for the purpose of promoting VE activities to bring about better results among industrial and other business circles.

 Recognized worldwide as the earliest pioneer of Value Engineering for the construction industry, Mr. Dell'Isola, SJVE, and SANNO Institute of Management in a joint effort to advance his expert knowledge of, the value engineering methodology into the Japanese language have successfully translated his online course textbook, Value Engineering: Practical Applications into Japanese.
