Compare Training Costs

Below is a copy of an email message sent to one of our clients that, compares the client's past experiences in getting Module I certification training for one employee, and the firm's total costs to provide Module I certification training for two employees that had recently participated as, VE team members in an actual VE Study facilitated by, Mr. Alphonse Dell' Isola, PE, RICS, FSAVE for the client.

The following is a good example for comparing value engineering training costs.

Dear Mike:

Al requested I follow-up on getting Tim and Jim certified.

In your last email you stated that, you had passed on your recommendation that both employees get certified, and would get back to me shortly. Tim was to check on HR's past experience getting John Smith certified

Since I had not heard from you, I could only assume the old method of, getting John Smith certified may have not been cost effective to HR, and I should make you aware of Al's new SAVE International approved online certification training that is, now the most affordable approach to training.

The old method for getting Tim and Jim certified included the following:

  1. They each had to take a 5 Day Module I Seminar - Estimated Cost to Company $2400 - $3000
  2. They each had 5 days off from work to attend - Company Loss Productivity Cost  $Unknown
  3. If travel was to an out of town seminar -       Estimated Cost to Company $400 - $1000
  4. If lodging/meals was needed for seminar -    Estimated Cost to Company $1500 - $2000

Total Cost to Company (Excluding Loss Productivity Cost)         $4300 - $6000

Al's new method for getting Tim and Jim certified includes the following:

  1. They both take the Online Certification Course - Total Cost to Company for Both  $1600
  2. Textbooks for Tim and Jim (Shipping included) - Total Cost to Company for Both  $200
  3. Company loss productivity for Tim and Jim - Total Company Loss Productivity Cost  $0

Total Cost to Company for Tim and Jim's Certification - $1800

The Value Engineering Online Certification Course developed by Al is, the first and only SAVE International approved online certification course that, will grant a full Mod I Certification Certificate to Tim and Jim through distance learning today.

We look forward to your participation and reply.

 Best regards,

Richard Ridgeway
