Salaries/Fee for a value
engineering consultant that is, an approved SAVE International Certified Value Specialist (CVS) can range between $125 - $250 per hour. However, before you can become a Certified Value Specialist (CVS), you must first become an Associate Value Specialist (AVS) working under a Certified Value Specialist (CVS) through
service on value studies. Salaries/Fee for an Associate Value Specialist (AVS) are typically negotiated, between the CVS and AVS and can vary. Steps on how to start a career as, a value engineering consultant: The Value Engineering Online Certification Course is your 1st step toward obtaining SAVE International's certification as, an Associate Value Specialist (AVS), or a Certified Value
Specialist (CVS). Note: After obtaining your Mod I - Part I certification Mr. Alphonse Dell'Isola, PE, RICS, FSAVE, will serve as your SAVE approved advisor to assist you in acquiring practical VM experience through service on value studies.
The Associate Value Specialist (AVS) program recognizes those individuals who decided to become professional value engineers but who have not yet acquired all the experience or technical skills expected of a CVS.
SAVE International invites members who are pursuing certification toward CVS or VMP to join the Team Member Registry. The society urges value study team leaders to include registry participants on their value study teams. The registry serves as a clearinghouse for novice value practitioners who wish to acquire practical VM experience through service on value studies. This registry is free and available only to SAVE International members.
