Lupus erythematosus is a chronic inflammatory disease in which the body's immune system fails to serve its normal protective functions. Instead, it forms antibodies that attack healthy tissues and organs. For most people, lupus is a mild disease affecting only a few organs. For others, it may cause serious and even life-threatening problems. It is estimated that between 1.5 and 2 million Americans have been diagnosed with lupus, which equals approximately 1 out of every 185 Americans.

This is a little known serious global disease affecting people in every country.

Our goal is to make people worldwide aware of, Lupus erythematosus.

We support the Lupus Foundation of Illinois, and their goal to increase lupus awareness, and to improve the quality of life of those affected by lupus through education, community outreach services, and support of research leading to better treatment and an eventual cure.
